OPI Germany Collection Fall/Winter 2012

OPI recently launched their latest country-inspired collection for Fall/Winter 2012. This season, we travel all the way to Germany where we find 12 polishes varying in texture/tone and ranging from neutrals to metallics that await us.

For those of you unfamiliar with OPI, the brand is a world leader in professional nail care and well known for it’s high quality nail polish and nail treatments. Available at professional salons and beauty retailers, OPI polishes have always delivered with exceptional formula, on trend shades and iconic names.

The Germany Collection includes a wonderful selection of vibrant shades, urban-chic neutrals and a range of reds. Here are the shades:

  • Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine! – Bodacious Black Olive
  • Unfor-Greta-Bly Blue – Uber Shiny Blue
  • Every Month is Oktoberfest – Pretty Plum
  • Suzi & the Dusseldorfs -Bright Purple Metallic
  • Deutsch You Want Me Baby? – Shimmering Red-Orange
  • Danke-Shiny Red – Ravishing Ruby
  • German-icure by OPI – Burgundy Shimmer
  • Schnapps Out of It! –  Rusty Mauve
  • Don’t Pretzel my Buttons – Honey Beige
  • My Very First Knockwurst – Rosy Nude
  • Berlin There Done That – Taupe/Grey
  • Don’t Talk Bach to Me – Lime Yellow

I am certainly going through a bit of a “creamy” phase, as you would have probably guessed with my recent Nail of the Day posts found here and the polishes featured below. All three of my “standout” shades below were well-pigmented (no surprise with OPI) and beautifully textured. When applied, each polish was opaque in only 2 coats.

From Left to Right:  Don’t Pretzel my Buttons, My Very First Knockwurst & Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine!

Overall, this is a beautiful collection that has a little something for everyone. The collection itself is very on trend for Fall and Winter this year. I am going to pass on some of the metallics as I already have similar ones in my polish collection but they are definitely worthy for those looking for a little shimmer. As for nudes, two of the best I’ve tried to date. Definitely must haves for us neutral addicts!!

Polishes are DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free and feature the exclusive Pro-Wide brush.
