Clinique Introduces “A Different Nail Enamel for Sensitive Skins”: Photos, Swatches & First Impressions

Clinique has re-entered the world of nail polish with their recent introduction of  A Different Nail Enamel for Sensitive Skins.  The new lacquers took three years of research and three years of product development and are finally available on counter as the first nail polish to be specifically “formulated to minimize skin sensitives”.

Did you know?
Nail enamel can cause irritation and dermatitis around the thin skin around the eye and is considered to be a significant allergen source for periorbital dermatitis. (a facial rash that develops around the lower and upper eyelids)

There will be 12 shades available in the core collection as well as 9 limited edition shades released for Summer 2013. A new Base Coat & Top Coat will also be available. The shades, which include a wide variety of colour options also include a few of Clinique’s iconic hues (i.e Black Honey) in addition to trend setting, seasonal shades.

I was sent press samples of some of the polishes (5 core + 3 limited) as well as the top coat and have been busy testing them out these past few weeks. Overall, the formula provided high shine and an impressive streak-free application. The polishes applied easily because of the thin flat brush which allowed for a more controlled application. They also dried fast and lasted without chipping upwards of an entire week! Check out some of the shades available with swatches of each……
