My Purgo Tea Teatox Experience

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter then you may have noticed that I recently decided to go “gluten-free”. For the past year, I’ve been experiencing uncomfortable bloating and I can’t seem to figure out what is causing it? I’ve also been really tired and never seem to have any energy. Being tired could be linked to my being on thyroid replacement therapy (my medications have not yet stabilized) however I needed to do something and decided to start listening to my body. Step one was eliminating wheat-based products to see if that would help? In addition to swapping out my favourite pastas, breads and snacks with gluten-free alternatives, I also decided to do one of those tea cleanses that are creeping up all over the internet. You know the ones that claim to detoxify and reset your body? I decided to try this method of detoxifying the body, whereas I know a few people who tried detoxifying foot baths to help remove toxins, as well as boosting their immune system.

I chose the Purgo Tea all-natural system because “it works with your body and not against it”. I was sold on the fact that Purgo required no fasting, had no harsh laxatives and that the tea blend was gluten-free! The Purgo Teatox is available in 14-day and 28-day options and is a delicious way to boost your metabolism and reduce bloating. I did the 14-day cleanse which involved having a cup of the Morning Detox every morning and a cup of Evening Cleanse every other night before bed. Both herbal tea blends were surprisingly delicious (I especially loved the morning one!) but since I prefer my warm drinks to be sweetened, I added a few raw sugar rocks from Teavana to make my teas even more palatable, and some white vein kratom to add the extra kick that my coffee provides.

The teatox went really well! Considering that I was also adjusting to incorporating different foods into my diet at the time of my 14-day cleanse, I can honestly say that the teas and my new diet gave me more energy. I also urinated more (too much information? lol) which helped rid my body of toxins, which made me think more clearly. Our health is so important and and our bodies often give us signs if something isn’t right. Listen to your body, exercise regularly, eat well and make yourself a priority. The Purgo Tea system is a not a cure-all system, but together with a balanced diet (there is a menu plan available online) it can provide an all-natural system reboot. I’ll definitely be re-purchasing another cleanse! The 14 Day Cleanse is currently on sale for $29.99 and the 28 Day is $43.99 with free shipping in Canada and the USA. For those of you wanting to try out Purgo for yourselves, the company has provided a 5% discount code for MomsMakeupStash readers (just use sandrateatox at checkout) *Ps: I am not making commission from sales and am not being compensated for this review.
