Review: Dior FOREVER Diorskin Fluid Foundation & Diorblush Sculpt

I have some great news to share with you about Dior today! The luxury makeup giant and fashion house has re-formulated their Diorskin Forever Foundation for Spring 2016 ($62 CAD) AND they’ve also launched a new sculpting blush called Diorskin Forever Diorblush Sculpt ($43 CAD). The Diorblush Sculpt launch includes four new blushing duos (each blush is paired with 1 highlight or 1 contour shade). This post will feature #001 & #004 plus my initial impressions on the newly reformulated Dior foundation.

Pink Shape (#001) is a beautiful matte pink blush and ivory highlight duo. The blush is well pigmented and imparts a gorgeous rosy colour on the cheeks. The highlight shade is a satin pinkish ivory which leans a bit on the sheer side but has a nice subtle shimmer to it. Brown Contour (#004) is a deep matte brown and ivory highlight duo. The highlight shade looks almost identical to the one in #001, but what I really appreciate about this palette is the contouring shade. Contour is all the rage right now and I’m starting to finally get the hang of it. This shade works really well on my skin tone and has a great formula!

As mentioned above, the Diorskin Forever Perfect Makeup Everlasting Wear Pore-Refining Effect with Sunscreen Foundation (phew.. that’s a long one!) has been re-formulated. You may see some of the older product still in stores but the older version is called Diorskin Forever Flawless Perfection Fusion Wear Makeup so be sure to note the difference if/when purchasing. The new formula has an extensive range (16 shades) available ranging from #010 Ivory to #080 Ebony & boasts an non-oily texture and SPF 35 sun protection. If that wasn’t enough, it also offers 16 hour matte coverage and flawless correction.

I don’t typically reach for matte foundations, however this one has really great coverage! It looks natural and it’s non-drying too. Just a few pumps does the job for me, concealing my under eye circles, blue veining and other pigmentation issues. As much as I like this, I think this would be an even better choice for those of you with blemish prone, oily skin because it helps control shine through the day!
