Every year for Mother’s Day, my wonderful husband and two beautiful kids make sure to remind me just how much they love me. This year my daughter grew me her very own plant at school, both kids made me the sweetest cards, my husband took me shopping and out for dinner (he seriously spoils me everyday!) and I helped celebrate with one of my favourite PR firms in Toronto. ROI Relations knows how to throw a great party and they also represent some wonderful brands that I have grown to love: Demeter Fragrance Library, Maybelline New York, Garnier and Kiss Nails, Broadway Nails (just to name a few).
When I first arrived at the event, a few friends and I immediately started decorating cookies. I was so inspired by the impress nails that were scattered across the table that I ended up creating a few different cookies that resembled popular Impress designs. While that was happening, other guests got their makeup touched up by Maybelline or headed over to the “nail” area for a custom manicure and/or hand massage. After I made (and ate!) some cookies, I got to create my very own personal fragrance using Demeter’s large assortment of everyday scents. I chose a few scents from their Fragrance Library that when combined, created my favourite personal scent, (I chose Sunshine & Dragon Fruit) then I was whisked off to make a Garnier smoothie inspired by Fructis Fruit Sensation shampoos.
