How many of you have seasonal allergies? How about allergies to dogs, cats, dust or even sensitivities to different foods? Well, I have all of the above and I am living proof that allergens and different environmental stressors can wreak havoc on our skin. It’s bad enough that every so often (usually when climates change I find) the products we’ve grown accustomed to and those that usually work for us decide to start under performing but what’s worse is not having a moment of relief from all of those itchy, dry and bothersome symptoms. I’ve noticed that it’s not actually a product’s effectiveness that changes but rather our own skin’s needs and at different times, our skin will need different products. This past month has been quite challenging for me. There has been increased stress at work, I’ve been adjusting to new medication AND we brought home a rambunctious new kitty which… surprise, surprise, I seem to be allergic to.  My skin has not been happy to say the least and some of my favourite, most dependable products haven’t been able to provide much needed relief. Aside from breakouts, I’ve pretty much experienced every other skin annoyance you can think of from dry, fatigued looking skin to redness. While I’m not quite ready to provide my readers with a full review, I will say that I did experience an immediate relief after mere days of continued use. I’ve been especially loving the Contour Yeux which provides immediate comfort to my sensitive, itchy and watery eyes. It’s also helping to de-puff and control redness around the eye area .
