Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the L’Oreal Paris Holiday Party & Spring 2013 Preview event. Held at the gorgeous Trump Tower in Toronto, beauty editors, bloggers, PR and L’Oreal familiar faces were all on hand to mingle and talk all about L’Oreal Paris’ exciting new Spring products.
It was an extraordinary event, complete with a never-ending table of chocolate, candy-cane martinis, hors d’oeuvres, and festive decor. There were beauty products everywhere and I got to catch up with some of my favourite beauty bloggers!

In addition to over 80 new products, L’Oreal was also excited to introduce their new Color Genius iPhone/Android App, available NOW for free on iTunes. The app helps you accessorize your makeup to your outfit by selecting the perfect lipstick, nail polish and eyeshadow to compliment your mood and your outfit. Just snap a photo of yourself, select your mood (day or evening) and then choose between options to clash, match or blend! It’s that simple!

COSMETICS
>> The product I was most intrigued by was the Color Riche Caresse Shine Stain Lip Colors ($12.99 CDN). The concept really reminded me of the YSL Glossy Stains which I never justified picking up because of the steep price point. Available in 12 gorgeous shades this January 2013. Look for a full review on these soon.
>> 18 new Color Riche Serum Anti-Aging Lip Colors ($10.99 CDN) will also hit stores in February 2013. They feature a Hyaluronic Acid serum that hydrates and plumps the lips at the same time.
>> With 4 expertly coordinated shades in each palette, the Color Riche Eye Shadow Quads ($11.99 CDN) are formulated with micro-milled pigments for intense crisp colour and a silky texture that is never chalky or powdery. Available in 20 different options January 2013.
>> Telescopic Shocking Extensions Mascara ($12.99 CDN) – There are over 200 bristles on the new ergonomically shaped lash-hugging brush. This mascara promises incredible length and definition. Both regular and waterproof formulas will be available January 2013.

>> The other product that had us all giddy while testing them, was the Visible Lift Colour Blush ($16.99 CDN). The creamy powder formulation of these really blew me away. They feature tourmaline, an energizing mineral that adds radiance and luminosity to mature skin. A lightweight powder in a creamy texture that never settles into fine lines. I expect greatness with this one! Available January 2013, in 6 glowing shades.
SKINCARE
>> Age Perfect Instant Glow BB Cream ($26.99 CDN) – Formulated for mature skin, this deeply-hydrating, luminescent BB cream helps to reduce age spots and the appearance of wrinkles over time. Great for those opting out of foundation but still wanting that luminous, bright, even-toned complexion. Available in stores February 2013.
>> Ideal Skincare ($9.99-$12.99 CDN) – L’Oreal Paris is releasing a new line of skincare for skin hydration, UV protection and skin treatments. Perfect for creating your own customized skincare routine, these cleansers, lotions and creams come in many different varieties including cleansing cloths, a foaming cleanser, day lotions and a day/night cream. Available February 2013.
HAIR PRODUCTS
