Essie’s new collection of cruise inspired shades were created to evoke relaxation and make the perfect wardrobe for any journey. The new collection out in June 2013, includes six new shades “inspired by breezy chiffon cover ups and cashmere pastel evening looks” on that cruise to paradise.
Naughty Nautical > Marine blue-green shimmer
The More the Merrier > Juicy lime green
Sunday Funday >Tangerine coral crush shimmer
Full Steam Ahead > Pearlescent punch lilac
The Girls Are Out > Fuchsia peony sparkle
Rock the Boat > Shimmering french blue
Each of the polishes (with the exception of The More the Merrier) have a subtle silver-based shimmer to them. I thought that the shimmer would be a lot more noticeable but I’m really glad that it isn’t. (as many of you know I prefer cream-based polishes) The formula has a thinner consistency than I’m used to with Essie, but the colours are all stunning! The only polish I was disappointed by was Rock the Boat since it was much more sheer than the others and I always have such high expectations for Essie blues. Overall, the Summer Collection is one of those collections that will not definitely not disappoint. It has a great assortment of shades for very taste. This is the third consecutive collection that Essie has released this year (Resort, Neons & Summer) that has surpassed my expectations. I think Essie is on a great roll!
