REVIEW: Benefit Cosmetics Stay Flawless 15-Hour Primer

Using a primer is an essential step to every makeup routine. Many people choose to omit it, but using one improves the look, feel and longevity of your makeup. One of my favourite primers is Benefit Porefessional so when Benefit asked whether I’d like to try their new 15-hour primer scheduled to hit stores in July, I jumped at the chance!

Benefit Cosmetics Stay Flawless 15-Hour Primer – $32 USD/$38 CDN – 15.5g

Stay Flawless is Benefit’s new invisible PRO-long primer that acts like a magnet to instantly lock-on foundation. It comes packaged in a twist up tube and features an innovative stick formula. The actual primer is a light beige colour that when applied, looks translucent, making it suitable for all skin tones. The product twists up and can be applied directly onto the skin before applying foundation and powder. The texture is great…it is not oily or waxy and feels moisturizing on the skin. Stay Flawless is supposed to keep makeup looking fresh and flawless all day and it really works!! It actually improved the look of my skin while enhancing my foundation’s performance. My foundation not only looked better at the end of a long work day but it stayed put in the humidity (approximately 9 hours). If you have extremely oily skin, I can’t be sure that this primer will keep you oil-free for 15 hours as it claims but I do feel pretty confident in saying that those of you with dry or normal skin will love this! (For those of you wondering, I have normal/combination skin – oilier T-zone, some dryness but mostly normal). In my opinion, it creates the perfect canvas for your makeup.

This product has already found a home on my Summer Essentials list of products that I can’t live without and would recommend to others this season. Not surprisingly, Benefit has sucked me in with another wonderful product that will certainly fly off the shelves next month when it hits stores.
