Stars On Ice with Jergens Canada, NEW BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream (+ a GIVEAWAY!)

Happy Sunday beauties! I actually slept in today, which was a really nice treat. I’ve been burning the candle at both ends, so I appreciated the extra snooze time. On Friday night, my husband, two kids and I went to Investors Group Stars on Ice, which is North America’s premier skating tour. The show was fantastic and featured skaters fresh from the rinks in Sochi, Russia, including 2014 Olympic Medalists Patrick Chan, Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir. Also part of the star-studded cast were Kurt Browning, Joannie Rochette (which I had the pleasure of meeting here), Shawn Sawyer and others. The performances were incredible and very entertaining! (thank you Jergens for the 100 section ACC seats!) Jergens Canada was also kind enough to provide my family with post-show after party tickets where we were able to meet and mingle with the cast of the show! All of the skaters were so genuine and down-to earth and my daughter was over the moon meeting Tessa and Scott.

A few weeks before the show, Jergens sent me some products to test out. The one product I couldn’t wait to get my hands on (mainly because I had heard so many great things about it) was the BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream ($12.99 CAD). The multi-tasking body moisturizer improves skin and gradually perfects it over time. It is formulated with self-adjusting tone technology and comes in 2 shades. Both shades provide the same skin-care benefits however each one helps to address specific concerns. “Light” is more warm-toned and works great to balance out any redness while the “Medium to Dark” option helps to balance out more olive skin tones by offering greater light reflection. This product contains a very low level of DHA and Erythrulose which helps to even and balance skin tone but it doesn’t actually change the color of the skin, which is nice. It just improves skin texture and tone. I really liked this product and would definitely repurchase it.

I don’t have extra dry skin but this would be a great option for me in the Winter when my skin tends to be more dry. It helps to relieve dryness at the source by delivering a rich blend of Vitamin C, E and B5 and locking in moisture for 24 hours. With continued use, you can expect triple the skin’s moisture content and healthy-looking, more nourished skin. And finally, the Jergens range of Natural Glow Moisturizers ($12.99 CAD) build “natural-looking colour” while blocking that common sunless tanner odour that is evident in competitor products. There are two shade options available: Fair to Medium & Medium to Tan. I have to be honest…. this range has never been my favourite but I do like that the products are oil-free, contain an SPF and feel lightweight on. I just wish that they looked more natural on my skin.
