Back in January I posted a first impression and swatch post of 2 Maybelline Color Tattoo shadows that I had picked up when they first launched in Canada. I originally picked up Tough as Taupe and Pomegranate Punk. To see that post and read my initial thoughts on the product, click here. As you may recall, these cream shadows, whether worn alone as a simple wash of color or used as a base, had impressive pigmentation and lasting power.
I prefer to use these as a base under my everyday eye shadows. I think it gives my “look” a bit more dimension and adds depth to the shadows. However, I have also enjoyed applying some of these (i.e metallic plum shade) as liner using an angled brush! Since I had been loving these so much and fearing that they were limited edition, I went back and picked up Bad to the Bronze, Too Cool and Edgy Emerald: a shade I had overlooked initially but intrigued with after seeing swatch photos. I ended up returning Too Cool since it was the only shade in the bunch that was chalky and too frosted.
