All the rage in Asia and starting to make an appearance in the Western market along with the infamous “BB cream” are hydrating facial sheet masks. I am no stranger to these super moisturizing wonder masks and have used the “My Beauty Diary” brand for quite some time.  So when the new Canadian skincare line Maskeraide announced the launch of their super-hydrating facial sheet masks, I was all over it! 

Maskeraide has combined fun packaging with high-quality ingredients (i.e. Argan/Peppermint Oils, Vitamin E, Green Algae) to create their line of 6 fabulous sheet masks. For those of you who are unfamiliar with sheet masks, they are quite different from the traditional mud-like masks that are applied then rinsed or peeled off of the skin. Instead sheet masks are made of a thin fiber that is cut out to contour the face and soaked in a highly concentrated serum or cream infused with vitamins and anti-oxidants. The mask design acts as an incubator and allows the nutrients to penetrate deeply into the various layers of the skin for maximum benefit.

Detox Diva –  Formulated with natural Geranium Oil, Seaweed and Green Tea Leaf Extracts), this mask helps minimize pores, absorb impurities and protect from toxins and free-radicals without removing any of the skin’s essential natural oils. Chinese Plum, Strawberry and Lemon Fruit Extracts go to work to gently exfoliate and lift dead skin cells revealing clear luminous skin, while Argan Oil and Honey keep the skin hydrated.

Pre-Party Prep – Silky, lightweight blend of natural Argan Oil, Orange Peel Oil, Super Fruit Extracts, Rice Extract and Honey combine to energize, hydrate, brighten and prime skin for a flawless finish.

As with most sheet masks, it is recommended that you leave the mask on your face for 10-20 minutes and then discard. It is not recommended that you rinse your face after use. Maskeraide suggests rubbing any excess liquid on other body parts (i.e. neck, shoulders) if after 20 minutes, there is any leftover. I was really impressed with the quality of these masks and expect that they will do very well as the word about them continues to spread! My skin felt so nourished, hydrated and firm after each use. I also loved how relaxed and invigorated my skin felt while the mask was on. Extraordinary!!
