The Mega Last lipstick range from Wet ‘n Wild offers 26 semi-matte/crème lip colours that have received notoriety for being some of the most pigmented lipsticks on the market today. None of the colours have sheen or shimmer to them and all of them have extraordinary colour payoff. These lipsticks are very long-wearing and last up to 4 hours. The formula is thicker than typical lipsticks, which can get quite drying at times, however I find that a good lip balm underneath helps significantly with that. The result? Rich, velvety colour that glides on smoothly and doesn’t cake, feather or bleed.
I wish that Wet’ n Wild would print the name of the lipstick on the tube itself and not on the protective plastic wrap which gets thrown out. This is a little detail, but one that drives me a bit nutty. I‘ve really enjoyed having these lipsticks in my collection despite experiencing some difficulty applying some of the paler colours. I just wish that these were a bit more moisturizing.
If you’ve never tried this very affordable lipstick ($2-3), you’ll be happy to know that some of the shades have been determined to be “dupes” for popular and more expensive MAC lipsticks. Check it out…
