I had to put these claims to the test, so recently I tried this mud mask for myself. While I can not comment on its long-term effectiveness, I can tell you what I think about it so far. I was expecting some tingling the first time I applied this mask, but what I experienced initially was almost painful. This may have occurred because I applied this over squeaky clean skin, having just used my Clarisonic moments before. The second time I applied this was not as uncomfortable…..there was no pain, just a lot of tingling. If you are planning to try this product, PLEASE do not cleanse your skin beforehand. (as indicated on the directions). I also would not recommend this if your skin is highly sensitive. It is a strong product.

The mask itself is green, gritty and made from a strong clay. I leave it on my face for approximately 10 minutes, sometimes less, depending on dry time. I remove it using circular motions and warm water. My skin immediately feels tight and looks radiant after using this! Even the following day, my skin feels and looks healthy and still has that luminous & youthful glow. I did notice that the “glow” didn’t last for 3 days (as claimed) but I was very satisfied with the way the mask tightened, smoothed, brightened and hydrated my skin.
