Have you seen the new kohl eyeliners from Rimmel London? The ScandalEYES Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliners are creamy, intensely pigmented and waterproof! These liners resemble the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencils and Stila Kajal Eye Liners, not only in appearance but are similar in application/texture as well. When I first spotted these budget-friendly liners in the store, I decided to give a few of the more unique shades a try.

One of things I absolutely love about Kohl liners in general is their creamy formula. The Rimmel London liners glide on smooth and are really easy to work with, despite their ultra-soft formula. Even though I tend to wear gel liners more often, I do love using these types of pencil liners in my waterline to add a pop of colour or on my top lash line for a more smoked out effect. The colours I chose to test out from this range are on the “light” side so I tested them out mostly on the bottom lash line and waterline only.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that Rimmel London came out with a nude eyeliner! Nude eyeliners are great to “invest” in since they look incredible on the waterline or in the inner corner of the eye to brighten up any eye look. This “nude” in particular, was as good if not better than other nudes I’ve owned (i.e. Tarte, Mac). If you are considering getting only one of these Kohl liners, this is the shade I’d recommend from the entire range. I experienced some minor irritation when I applied the silver liner on my waterline – not sure if this had anything to do with the fact that it’s a metallic? The other two, however were utterly gorgeous and lasted all day on me, without smudging or wearing off. A friend used these for her lily munster costume and she tells me they worked fantastically, she said she had a similar experience with them and even after her Halloween party it still didn’t fade.
Overall, I highly recommend these liners and think that the are a really great value. They are buttery smooth, long-wearing (waterproof) and glide on easily, not to mention that I’m absolutely loving the shade range. I’m heading back to my local drugstore to pick up the Black and Taupe for sure! Here are some swatches:
