Walmart Frugal Heroes $100 Challenge: Cottage/Beach Bag Essentials

Last Thursday, Walmart declared the day National Savings Day and my friend Dee (click on her name to see her challenge) and I participated in our first-ever Frugal Heroes Challenge. We were both challenged to make the most of our dollar by shopping the lowest prices and saving. We are both very frugal people so we relished the challenge. In fact, we had set ourselves our own little challenge the other night to see who could find the cheapest car and home insurance quotes. I won (of course)!!! But not all of us have the frugal gene, I have some friends who struggle to be frugel and find themselves getting payday loans because they can’t keep within a budget. Maybe they should consider payday loan consolidation to make their repayments mangeable? I’ve heard its super helpful. They will have to admit that their spending habits are a big problem and rethink their finances. If they look at the best credit cards for building credit, they may be able to get back on track but they need to learn how to be frugal! But I digress. We each had a particular challenge… Dee was shopping for Summer Beauty Essentials and my challenge was similar but focused on necessities when filling a Beach/Cottage bag. Walmart graciously provided us both with a $100 Walmart Gift Card to use towards our specific challenge goals.
