Cover Girl Flamed Out Mascara: Review, Photos & Details

I’ve always been a sucker for a good mascara, and nowadays some of the best options I’ve come to love can be found at your local drugstore. More and more budget-friendly brands are making it onto my “favourites” list. Among them are Voluminous by L’Oreal Paris, LashBlast by Cover Girl, Lash Potion by Revlon, The Falsies – Big Eyes by Maybelline New York and My Blackest Lashes by Prestige Cosmetics.

Cover Girl’s new Flamed Out Mascara comes in a gorgeous, boldly coloured tube and features the Volume Ignitor Brush that “adds volume to every single lash for bigger, thicker, fuller lashes”. The brush is curved but has a thinner centre and provides volume (not a dramatic amount) without clumping or flaking. The effect is more soft and natural-looking which I think is perfect for every day wear. I experienced no smudging with this mascara. The formula stayed put all day yet removed easily when it came time to take it off. I wouldn’t say it provided my lashes with “maximum” volume but it did leave my lashes feeling soft and looking great! It separated every lash with gorgeous lift and curl in 2 coats. If you are looking for a mascara that gives your lashes dramatic length or volume, I’d say that there are other Cover Girl options out there that are better suited (i.e. LashBlast), however for those of you wanting a more natural look for every day wear/work, this mascara is a good option.
