REVIEW: Cover Girl Clean Glow Blusher in Roses

CoverGirl recently introduced two brand new Clean Glow Blushers that feature a trio of blush and highlighter shades meant to be blended together to create a natural glow to the complexion. The product comes in both a Peach and Rose option.  Each Clean Glow Blush includes three shades that range from lighter to darker.  “Roses” (pictured below) has a non-shimmery, semi-matte finish and a silky texture but unfortunately the colour combination applied very sheer on my light-medium complexion. I can see this product working better on fair-light skin tones however regardless of skin tone, I believe that this will only provide a subtle flush/glow. I like that this is a “fool-proof”, natural-looking option, however I would have appreciated more pigment as I found this to be too sheer and somewhat difficult to build-up in intensity. It did provide a nice satiny sheen to my skin initially, however this seemed to fade over time. The second time I applied this product, I used a setting spray to improve its wear-time.

The powder has a beautiful combination of colours that include a pale pink, medium peach and darker rose shade. As I mentioned, when the colours are used together, I found this too be too light, however the pale pink shade on its own worked nicely as a highlighter. The compact is on the larger side and although the powder is visible through the see-through glass lid, the packaging lacks an interior mirror and an applicator, making it difficult to use outside the home.
