One of my favourite beauty looks at World Mastercard Fashion Week was created for the Pink Tartan F/W 2014 show. Grace Lee, Makeup Artist at Maybelline New York and her team created a gorgeous winterized look. “I wanted her to look expensive and as if she had just come out of the cold”, said Lee. Grace used layers upon layers of Pumped Up! Colossal mascara to intensify the eyes and Master Glaze to create a natural wind-burned flush on the skin. For more details, see below.
Jorge Joao, Lead Stylist for Redken Canada, wanted the hair for the show to look windswept. He left it long and loose and parted it in the centre. “It’s all about texture for this look”, said Joao who used a texturizing hair powder to create both grit and hold. He also used Redken’s new Pillow Proof Primer, (can’t wait to try this product out myself!) and Iron Shape 11 Setting Spray on the models’ hair before tucking pieces into turtlenecks/hoods right before the show.
