Covergirl’s range of LipPerfection™ lipsticks are enriched with a “silk moisturizing complex” that claim to help sustain moisture levels while making lips soft & smooth in just 7 days. The range includes over 40 well-pigmented shades that won’t break the bank and are readily available at most drugstores. LipPerfection™ lipsticks are slightly thicker than your average lipstick, but this is mostly because of their very creamy consistency. I found the darker shades to have better lasting power (4-6 hours) compared to the lighter ones which lasted about 3 hours or less. All shades were easy to apply and made my lips feel comfortable, however they didn’t provide the necessary hydration that drier lips like mine tend to crave. Product Details:

Impressive shade range. Includes any shade you could ever want to possibly try, and at such a great price point it’s easy to experiment with colour and choose shades outside your comfort zone.

Smooth & easy application. There was no dragging or tugging….just a smooth, nice glide.

Excellent pigmentation. The colour payoff of these lipsticks is outstanding. What you see is definitely what you get. 

Creamy texture & gorgeous satin finish. The texture of these is very creamy and they apply quite nicely. They impart a beautiful shine but nothing too overbearing. 

Lightweight, comfortable formula. For something that packs so much pigment, I was surprised by the lightweight formula. It feels moisturizing and comfortable on the lips….just wish it was more hydrating.  

Great value, readily available. Affordable price point and easy to find across the globe at mass retailers and most drugstores.

Convenient packaging. The bottom cap of the lipstick is coloured to reflect the actual shade making it easy to find in your stash. The name and number of the colour is also noted. 

What Could be Better?

Scent is a bit “waxy” and could be improved by adding a hint of subtle fragrance. Some review note a sweet vanilla scent however I was unable to detect one.

Lipsticks are not as moisturizing as they claim to be. The formula did not crack, peel or dry out my lips but my lips craved more hydration. If you have dry lips to start with, I would recommend applying a lip balm beforehand.
