This year’s Spring makeup collection by Clarins is an assortment of new and/or limited edition products & shades for the lips, eyes and complexion. Garden Escape combines soft textures and pretty neutrals and while I only have a few of the items from the collection to share with you today, I’m positive that you will fall in love with both of them. 

The Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil ($23 CAD) is a unique melting formula, rich in active plant ingredients that nourishes and enhances the lips. Available in 2 shades (“Honey” shown below), this lip oil quickly goes to work, moisturizing and conditioning the lips with it’s non-sticky but slightly tacky formula. I’ve been reaching for this product a lot when I know I’m going to be spending a lot of time outdoors. 

The limited edition Garden Escape 6 Color Eye Palette ($44 CAD) comes in a beautiful shiny gold palette which houses 6 satin & iridescent eyeshadows that can be used wet or dry. Aside from the colours, what makes this palette special are the details. Pressed into each garden-inspired shade is a pretty flower design, that screams Spring. All of the shadows have a smooth, easy to apply texture, however the pinks fall a bit short on pigmentation. The palette is not meant to have intense colour payoff … I think the desired effect is a more soft, natural-looking wash of colour on the eyes. The combination of white, mossy greens, pinks and taupe make this such a versatile palette! See below for swatches.
