It usually takes me awhile to fully review a skincare product but this month, when I received a few samples of Lancôme’s new customized pigmentation correctors I just couldn’t wait to share my first impressions with you. Designed to create perfect, flawless skin, the DreamTone Ultimate Dark Spot Correctors are Lancôme’s newest skincare formulation. Available in three formulas, DreamTone combats dark spots, lack of uniformity (uneven skin tone) and colour irregularities and can be used as an all-round pigment corrector!
Who doesn’t want a beautiful, glowing complexion free of marks or blemishes? We all feel more confident when our skin looks and feels healthy. These correctors come in formulas geared towards Fair, Medium & Dark skin tones. Each one targets “excess melanin synthesis”, “restores epidermal homeostasis”and/or “fights against inflammation and stress”….specific concerns associated with each skin tone.

Individuals with fair skin usually have a tendency to Redness, medium skin tones are usually more susceptible to having Sallow Skin and darker skin tones tend to show more Blemish Marks. All three formulas share the same core active ingredients, however each one has a different pigmentation profile as described below making each formula unique to addressing specific concerns.
Fair Skin – helps to target vascular dysfunction to reduce redness
Medium Skin – helps to brighten sallow skin tones
Dark Skin – helps to target blemish marks
In order to improve skin’s texture, to correct discolouration problems and to improve radiance, the 3 DreamTone formulas have a pearly reflective texture that instantly brighten the complexion and pink & copper pigments to improve the look and feel of the skin’s tone. Light diffusing particles also enhance the skin’s natural hue.
Upon skin contact (I tried #1 & #2) both formulas melted into the skin and produced a gorgeous silky veil. After application, my skin immediately felt soft, non-sticky, fresh & hydrated….with a lustrous glow. The formulas are light and silky (think illuminating moisturizer), however the product does has a strong fragrance, which might turn some of you off? I apply this product to my face, the chest area and hands for an all-over glow. It’s obviously too soon to comment on whether the long-term effects of these formulas correct discolouration and redness over time but I’m hopeful since I have age spots, redness and some scarring I’d be happy to send packing for good!
