MAC Posh Paradise Collection: Swatches & Comparison

Posh Paradise is MAC’s most recent collection release consisting mostly of Mattene Lipsticks and Paint Pots. I was waiting with anticipation to get a glimpse of the limited edition paint pots being released with this collection, so when Temptalia posted swatches just before the September 15th launch, I was as expected, NOT disappointed.

If you read my blog post on paint pots from awhile back, you already know that I love these cream shadows/bases. I already have 8-9 different shades that I use interchangeably on a daily basis, alone or as a base under my shadows. I didn’t really need any more of them but was happy to see that the collection included darker options, since the majority of the ones I own are pretty neutral, “safe” colours.

With Fall/Winter trends upon us, I was inspired to try something new and thought that these paint pots would help kick up my already neutral makeup a notch……or two…so, I hit my local store….again.

Here is what I eventually narrowed it down to. Although all are technically frosts, they look and feel more like mattes to me, and have absolutely no glittery fallout or shimmer:

From Left to Right: Half-Wild, Imaginary & Nubile

> Imaginary (Blackened Navy) (frost)

> Nubile (Light Peachy Nude) (frost)
> Half-Wild (Mid-Tone Purple) (frost)

I almost picked up Treasure Hunt as well, but it looked alot like Cash Flow when I swatched it in the store, so I passed it up.
From Top to Bottom: Imaginary, Nubile & Half-Wild
***notice the subtle yet gorgeous blue flecks of glitter in imaginary??***

Here is Nubile next to Painterly from the permanent collection. As you can see, Nubile (on the left) is more peachy.

Are u as excited as I was to get your hands on these limited release shades from Posh Paradise?
