I have been a fan of MAC cosmetics for over 20 years… I still remember buying my first MAC lipstick while in high school, which was a LONG time ago.
MAC products can be purchased online, at major department store counters or at actual MAC flagship stores. MAC also carries a range of PRO products Anyone could order these products by calling the 1-800# or by physically going into a PRO store. MAC announced last week, however that PRO products were now available for online purchase to ALL consumers in the US and CANADA. Up until October 18, 2012, this was only available to MAC PRO members.
For those of you who may be unaware of the difference, MAC PRO is a line of professional grade products that MAC describes as being “more pigmented and more versatile in their use”. These products are the industry professionals makeup of choice ( i.e. film, TV, fashion, theatre). Retail consumers should take note that some of the PRO products are not safe or recommended for use in certain areas of the face, given their ingredients. For example, the glitters are not “safe” for use around the eyes. My go-to site for MAC reviews, especially information related to the PRO line has always been Temptalia, so be sure to check out her site for additional information on safe application or product range.
