Last Friday, I attended the Lucian Matis Fall/Winter ’13 show at One King West. Before the show I went backstage to chat with the Revlon team and watch the models get their makeup, hair and nails done before hitting the runway. Revlon’s Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman and Revlon Nail Expert Leeanne Colley played off of the geometric shapes of the FW’13 Lucian Matis collection with a bold, retro inspired eye and nail pairing with added pops of dimension to complete the look.
“The inspiration for this look was Lucian’s gorgeous, monochromatic colour palette while incorporating Safari Khaki tones to the eye.” said Westman.
For the nails, “I created a combination of sharp geometrical lines to complement Lucian’s monochromatic look. The whites in the collection are winter whites, soft and creamy, not stark. I’ve combined them with a rich charcoal gray and strong black accents.” added Colley.
