Last week I provided an exclusive look at the new Essie Collection for Fall/Winter 2013, which features 6 new fashion-inspired shades due out in stores August 2013. The collection, which is a play on fashion and fabrics includes 3 cream lacquers (a crimson, teal gray & midnight blue) and 3 duo-chrome/shimmer polishes ranging from flannel gray to fuchsia.
Essie has made some of my all-time favourite polishes (i.e. In the Cab-Ana, Limited Addiction) and it is usually their Resort and Fall collections that I love most. This year was an exception since I was completely “over the moon” for both of their Summer Collections….see here and here. The quality of Essie’s polishes never disappoint. Each of the polishes in this collection required two coats for a nice opaque finish. As most of you know, I usually gravitate toward cream finishes so Vested Interest and After School Boy Blazer appealed to me most, especially for Fall. While Cashmere Bathrobe did nothing for me in the bottle, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it on the nails! Fans of duo-chrome polish will also like For The Twill of It. Overall, the collection boasts a good variety of shades and textures for every taste.
