I received both the Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration SPF 30 lotion and the Hawaiian Tropic After Sun Moisturizer last week, and I love both! I have always loved Hawaiian Tropic products for as long as I can remember. The quality and consistent performance of their products is comforting. I adore the scent and the coverage is awesome when using the Hawaiian Tropic Products. It left my skin feeling soft and moisturized and best part of all is I was protected from the sun! My skin felt nourished and hydrated and I am sure I was glowing. I especially loved the little bit of glitter it left on my skin, truly made me look and feel like a sun princess! I also received several compliments on the scent, and people asked me what I was wearing. now that is amazing when you consider most sun protection creams are too thick and smell terrible. My daughter had recently experience a sun burn from a day at the beach, so we thought perfect time to try the After Sun Moisturizer. My daughter had immediate relief, it was easy to put on and spread around, it absorbed great and it left a cooling feeling on her skin. It wasn’t sticky or left your skin wet, it really works great. Bonus….. they both smell amazing and they are both very well rounded awesome products offering amazing results. I would like to thank both Hawaiian Tropic and MomsMakeupStash for this amazing opportunity to experiment with these great products. I would recommend this product to everyone and I will purchase this product for my own family in the future.

Last week, while taking a ride on the ferry with my kids, I realized that I didn’t lather any of us up in sunscreen before boarding the boat, after our long road trip.  Luckily, I remembered that I kept my sample bottles of Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration SPF 30 Sunscreen Lotion, and After Sun Moisturizer in my purse.  The sunscreen went on so smoothly, and smelled great.  Even my kids commented on the summery scent.  It worked perfectly.  I covered every inch of myself, and my kids…except the back of my neck because I decided to put a ponytail in my hair afterwards.  I got a slight sunburn there, but before our car ride home, I applied my Silk Hydration After Sun Moisturizer, and it felt great.  I loved the scent, and could smell it all the way home in the car.  The next day, I didn’t feel any tightness where I had gotten too much sun.  I’ll definitely be purchasing these two products regularly, and I really recommend it!

Gave the Hawaiian Tropics Products a good test on a weekend camping trip. Lots of beach time and lots of sunscreen needed. First impression was that the Sunscreen Lotion had a great scent. Love how it went on smoothly, just like a moisturizer. It threw me off because unlike other sunscreens, it dried quickly and didn’t leave a sticky feel. Felt like I had just put on my moisturizing lotion. Love it! It kept me from burning, minus a spot that I missed (Not Hawaiian Tropics fault haha). But that’s where the After Sun Moisturizer came in handy. Again, great scent and went on so nicely. Left my skin feeling soft and my sunburned area feeling some relief from the pain. Overall very impressed with these products. Left my skin feeling great and I will definitely pick some of these up for my beach bag!

I really enjoy this sunscreen. Although it is only SPF 30, it kept me from getting burnt, unlike a different one that was supposed to be SPF 50. I really enjoyed the scent as well. I like how it doesn’t smell like your typical sunscreen, more like a lotion. Speaking of lotion, the after sun lotion is great for burnt skin, or just for a moisturizer. It feels so good and cool on your skin! I honestly love these 2 products!

The Silk Hydration SPF 30 Sunscreen Lotion protects the skin from sun damage and premature aging. I have sensitive skin and I tested a small amount on my fore arm to make sure it wouldn’t irritate me and to get a feel for the texture. I then tried it on my face and I had no irritation! Success!! It has a nice creamy texture but it’s not too thick. I feel like the hydrating ribbons make it a light and gel-like consistency. Whilst rubbing it in it does stay white coloured but eventually it absorbs and can’t be seen on your face. I love the fact it is not oily and doesn’t have that sticky texture that some Sunscreens do. This makes my skin feel so soft and hydrated! All this greatness and it smells awesome too! Smells like summer! A mix between a cocoa butter/coconut with hints of fruit! I should mention that before using this product and before I ever owned a BB cream with SPF I used a different SPF 30 by Hawaiian Tropic and mixed it into my BB cream as my base for the day! I did this on my trip to Las Vegas and it worked only it was an older Sunscreen so it did irritate my skin, but with this new product I am worry free about irritation.I love this product! The first thing I notice about the Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration After Sun Moisturizer is the awesome blue-ish colour and “flavor” if you will, Coconut Papaya! I have had my share of horrible shoulder burns so the fact that it has aloe, which is amazing for the skin and has so many other beneficial factors is a huge thumbs up for me! The fact that this product has Aloe & the ribbons of lotion is great! I find I need the aloe to cool the skin and repair but I find my self also looking for a soothing lotion to keep my skin hydrated afterwards making this 2 in 1 perfect! The texture is a nice thick gel like consistency and rubs in clear! As you rub it in it thins out and you can really feel the moisture surging ability! The difference in the sunscreen you can feel the aloe affect as it almost makes the skin cooler or as if you just dipped into water. Completely absorbed it calms my skin making it feel super smooth and moisturized! If this wasn’t fantastic enough it leaves an amazing scent behind! Of course hints of Coconut and Papaya but not a strong overly powerful scent. It’s similar to a light, clean, body spray scent! Just enough to make you feel fresh! Non oily, non sticky, light, calming, moisturizing & smells wonderful! Awesome product!

The After Sun Moisturizer is my favourite! It is very cooling & soothing, like an aloe vera gel but without the sticky feel. I love using this year round as an all over body moisturizer. The scent is incredible and it leaves my skin feeling so soft and moisturized! I highly recommend this product.

The Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Sunscreen smells and feels amazing. It doesn’t leave a sticky residue like other sunscreens, it absorbs quickly and it leaves my skin feeling soft. The smell is summer in a bottle! I love the hint of coconut. After being out in the sun the After Sun Moisturizer provides a nice cooling affect and is very hydrating. My skin feels soft for hours after applying and it also smells great. I love the combination of aloe and Shea butter and can really see a difference after applying. I’ve really enjoyed using both products. I used to see applying sunscreen as a chore, because I didn’t like how they felt on my skin or the scents, but the Hawaiian Tropic products make me excited to use them! I will be purchasing both products because they’re very effective and budget friendly.

The Silk Hydration SPF 30 Sunscreen Lotion protected my skin very well….as I did not experience any burning or irritation while using it in the sun. I love the scent and the moisturizing ribbons. It goes on kind of thick but blends into the skin well. I love that this has a broad spectrum (UVA & UVB protection) and is water-resistant. The After Sun Moisturizer smelled great too and was also very hydrating. Love the cooling lightweight feel. You guys really need to try this!

There are a lot of things I liked about the Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Sunscreen and After Sun Moisturizer. First of all the sunscreen worked effectively, preventing any burning on my pale skin on a long day out in the sun.  The After Sun Moisturizer was nice and soothing on the back of my legs after I forgot to apply sunscreen in that area. Secondly, the tropical fragrance is really appealing, especially as far as sunscreens go.  Both products are scented the same but the moisturizer smells just a little more fruity to me. The packaging on both products is also really great.  The cream in both bottles has a swirl pattern that you can see through a see-through bottle. So in terms of effectiveness, scent, and packaging I find both items top notch. I however have one problem with both products and that is that they both contain an ingredient that I like to avoid: parabens.  I really wish they were paraben free because I really like everything else about them.

I have a bad habit of not wearing sunscreen on my face because it always seems greasy and I’ve managed to burn my face twice this year. So when the Silk Hydration SPF 30 Sunscreen Lotion and After Sun Moisturizer arrived I was ready to try it out. During the heat wave a couple of weeks ago I put on the sunscreen before going out on a walk. It worked well and kept me from getting burnt. There is an added bonus which is the scent because both products smell really good. I would recommend it!

I was pleasantly surprised when I applied the Silk Hydration Sunscreen Lotion. It’s lightly scented (not overpowering or anything) with a fruity scent, it absorbs fairly quickly, does not leave behind any greasy residues, moisturizes for 12+ hours as claimed, works well under my makeup and feels so natural that I pretty much forgot I have sunscreen on. In terms of being waterproof, it appears to be fairly waterproof, but of course it is highly recommended that you reapply the sunscreen after coming out of the water. My only concern is that when I apply the sunscreen on my face I get this mildly painful stinging sensation (it only happens on my face), but it doesn’t cause any redness or break outs. This happened every time that I apply it to my face, I guess my skin is sensitive to something in the sunscreen. Overall, the sunscreen is a major plus in my books in terms of being light, non-greasy and wonderfully scented. The After Sun Moisturizer provided an instant cooling of my skin after a day at the beach. Since I haven’t been to the beach that often, I more or less use this after sun moisturizer as a lotion after showering. The scent (mango and Shea butter) is slightly stronger than the sunscreen, but still very pleasant. Wow! I am like super impressed. I knew there was aloe (hence the gel like consistency) in it but I didn’t realize how refreshing, cooling and fast absorbing it was. When I applied the moisturizer it instantly absorbed into my skin and locking all the moisture in for pretty much 24 hours. Similar to the sunscreen lotion, my face experienced a slight stinging sensation the first 2 times that I applied it, although it didn’t appear to be as intense the 3rd time around, but as a precaution I am no longer applying it to my face. I am really tempted to use this as my regular lotion instead of my usual brands. Overall, this moisturizer is definitely worth checking out if you want to enjoy a refreshing way to cool down and maintain moisture to your skin without greasiness.

When I opened the package the first thing I noticed was the colour and the swirls in the bottles which were very eye catching.  I tried the sunscreen that day as I was gardening and it went on very smoothly and did not feel greasy and I loved the scent.  That evening after I showered I applied the After Sun Moisturizer and my skin absorbed it very well and the scent is amazing. I intend to buy both and they will be my go to for sunscreen and body moisturizer for the summer.
