BACKSTAGE Beauty: Soia & Kyo Fall/Winter 2014 World Mastercard Fashion Week (Featuring Maybelline & Redken)

Another great beauty look at World Mastercard Fashion Week in Toronto recently was created for the Soia & Kyo Fall/Winter 2014 show. Grace Lee, Maybelline New York makeup artist wanted the models to look as “fresh and clean as possible”. Grace first surrounded the eyes with a subtle bronze glow by blending Master Glaze in “Warm Nude” and SuperStay 14HR Lipstick in “Beige” into the crease and lower lash line. The skin was warmed with a hint of Master Glaze in Just Pinched Pink, placed on the apples of the cheeks. A coat of Volum’ Express Pumped Up! Colossal mascara was then applied to the lashes and the brows were brushed up using Great Lash mascara in “clear”. To finish the look, Grace applied The Buffs lipstick in “Nude Lust” on the lips. Jorge Joao, Lead Stylist for Redken Canada, kept the hair long and loose. He used Redken’s Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer with Heat Protection to ensure hair had lasting volume without looking weighed down. A flat iron was then used to create unstructured bends/kinks in the hair.
