Night Cream

Garnier’s new night cream has been formulated with a brand new kind of polymer that upon contact with your fingers, attracts to the skin and leaves an ultra-flexible film on the face. When left alone, it is supposed to act like a “conveyor belt” and helps active ingredients penetrate the skin. The texture of this cream is very interesting. It looks like a typical night cream but once you touch it you’ll notice a slightly bouncy texture to it. Working the cream between your fingers is when you notice its creamy/gel like texture. Like many other night creams on the market, this one also has a thicker consistency (as compared to a lotion or day cream) but it feels lightweight on the skin. 

I usually start by dabbing some product on my forehead, cheeks, nose and chin and then proceed to massage it into my cleansed skin. The next morning when I wake up, my skin looks hydrated and feels supple to the touch. After applying the Ultra-Lift Miracle Sleeping Cream Night Cream, I could actually feel the ingredients going to work on my skin and although it feels rich when I go to bed, all of the product is well absorbed in the morning. The cream has a fresh, light scent to it that isn’t overpowering however I do wish that it was an unscented product. I haven’t noticed a difference in the tone of my skin, but to be fair, I also haven’t been using it long enough to see a difference with pigmentation or fine lines. I will say however, that my skin doesn’t look as dull and tired in the mornings, and it appears to be brighter and smoother which is a huge plus! 

Eye Cream

I first started using eye cream when I was 18 and to this day I still think it is one of the most important steps in any beauty regime. The eye area is among the first to start showing any signs of aging. The skin around our eyes can look dull, appear less firm and pesky lines/wrinkles can become visible over time. A good eye cream, in my opinion is hydrating, non-greasy and works to add moisture while battling any signs of aging. I like that this product brightens and deeply hydrates the sensitive area around my eyes without feeling greasy. I also read somewhere that caffeine works wonders in reducing puffiness (this girl with allergies knows all the tricks!) because it constricts the blood vessels under the skin. This eye cream is a must try!
