I’ve made no secret about my recent love affair for all things philosophy! My skin really seems to agree with many of their products. The latest one to hit my desk is their MicroDelivery Detoxifying Oxygen Peel ($89 CAD)….a 2-step system that delivers the purifying benefits of a detoxifying mask with the brightening benefits of an oxygen facial. The package includes 2 tubes of product, labelled step I (black) & step II (white) and an exfoliating derma blade. Step I is a detoxifying gel made from activated charcoal. It feels cool on the skin once you apply it and works to draw out impurities like oil and dirt from the skin. Step II is an oxygen foam booster that should be applied over top of Step I. Step II contains an oxygen complex made from barley leaf extract and as soon as the two steps combine you immediately begin to feel tingling and see foaming on the skin. I love it when products look and feel like they are doing their job!

After 3 minutes, you should remove the product using the derma blade provided. You may notice some redness as you proceed with “scraping” the product off of your face using the “blade” and water. This is perfectly normal and happens because blood rushes to the surface of the skin (increasing circulation) and because you are removing all the gunk from your face that doesn’t belong there. After a few minutes, the redness disappears and the skin just looks super clean! I use this product weekly and it looks like I got a professional facial every time. Visibly smaller pores, more radiant, supple and hydrated skin! No harsh chemicals either.
