I try to avoid the mall crowds this time of year and that is honestly one of the main reasons that my Christmas shopping is still not finished with only 3 days to go. I blame not starting early enough and having no time as the other culprits. Shopping in person can certainly be a hassle. Looking for parking in a jammed lot, waiting in line for an hour to pay for your items or trying to manoeuvre threw the crowds to find that perfect gift can certainly weigh you down.
I started my shopping online recently through AirMilesShops.ca, the ONLY online shopping mall that gives Air Miles Collectors the ability to earn reward miles as well as access to over 140 major brand name stores. Earning Air Miles while shopping online through airmilesshops.ca is simple…. all you need to do is sign into the website using your collector number and click “Shop Now”! Once you’ve signed in, you are taken directly to the retailers website of your choice to do your actual shopping. At every secure checkout, you earn reward miles for your purchase (just remember to sign through the Air Miles portal first).

Whether now at Christmas or any other time throughout the year, shopping online is not as scary as I once believed it to be. Not only does it allow you to skip the mall but you can also take advantage of special merchant offers available online through portals such as this one. It’s a win – win. I mean, who doesn’t like shopping in their pyjamas and earning rewards in the process? The purchases that I made that night arrived quickly (2 days!) and included free shipping (retailer dependent). Impressive!
Lena also made a very good point at the event. She mentioned that while we are often asked in-store whether we are Air Miles collectors, we don’t receive the same cue while shopping online. She suggested making AirMilesShops.ca the homepage on your computer as a reminder to go through the portal when making online purchases.
