Avon’s new Gel Finish 7-in-1 Nail Enamel promises a gel-like finish, high shine, vivid colour and also acts as a nail strengthener, protection, base coat and top coat. Those are some pretty strong claims for a product that is said to perform like a gel polish without the UV! Of course, we just had to put a few of these polishes to the test. The new Gel Finish Nail Enamels come in 12 different colour options. All 4 of the colours tested were very well pigmented and applied nicely in 1-2 coats. The quality of Avon polishes in general has been impressive this year and the Gel Finish 7-in-1 formula was no exception. It has a built-in top coat, making each of the polishes dry to a beautiful glossy shine. The colours tested (especially Royal Vendetta & Parfait Pink) were beautifully opaque in just one coat. The instructions on the back of the box suggest letting the first coat of the polish dry completely before applying the next coat for improved wear and optimal results. What’s really great about this affordable formula is that it does not require curing under a UV lamp but still gives you a salon result!
