I recently attended the GTA Home Show to check out Walmart’s new Outdoor Living Collection for Spring/Summer 2014. The collection features everything you could possibly ever need to create the perfect backyard escape. I’ve never sourced out Walmart for home/patio decor or outdoor accessories before…I’m not sure why, since there isn’t much I haven’t been able to find at Walmart! The store carries everything. From groceries to clothing, toiletries, electronics, toys and more, Walmart has a vast selection of product available. Honestly, after laying eyes on this colourful and stylish outdoor collection, I’ve made a mental note to make a trip to my local store really soon! Seeing everything assembled and expertly coordinated at the show was so visually appealing and certainly gave me some great ideas on what I could do with my outdoor space this Summer.
Many of the collection’s outdoor accessories (i.e. candle holders, vases, throws) can easily transition to interior decor pieces once BBQ season is over, making them multi-functional pieces. The one thing that really stood out to me was the Hometrends Summerhouse Pergola, a trendy and completely “different” gazebo structure. It was striking and may just become the replacement I’ve looking for since the ice storm wrecked my gazebo a few months back. I also really liked the honeycomb vases, lanterns and felt place mats and coasters! Even the bright coloured throws and deck cushions were cute! Take a look at these photos!! (prices noted)
