L’oreal Color Infaillible/Infallible Eye Shadows

This past summer, L’Oreal released their Color Infaillible Shadows here in Canada. While already having penetrated the Europe market months earlier, I believe these still remain unsighted in the USA.

Often called the hybrid, between a pressed shadow and a loose mineral pigment, these shadows soon became infamous for their striking resemblance to their high end counterpart: the Armani Eyes to Kill shadow which carry a significant price tag.

I have been trialling these for months now, and after deciding to return one shade and keep the 3 photographed below, I am finally ready to provide my honest thoughts on this product.

Down to the packaging itself (including the inner black lid), these DO look rather similar, to the Armani shadows they’ve been compared to. I have not personally tried the Armani ones, so I can not comment further on quality.

While I do like these shadows, I was disappointed with “Time Resist White” as it applied with a gritty, chalky texture and had ++ fallout. The others I tried were much better, although I definitely ONLY apply them now with my finger over a base/primer and NEVER use a brush. This “patting” method seems to work best, helping to avoid unnecessary product spillage and/or applying too much product.

Picked up a few of these shadows for friends to try out: Lette, Yuliya and Shannon. Be sure to check out their Youtube Channels!!!

Well there you have it!Product PL– USES: waterproof, long-wearing, come in 12 gorgeous colours, affordable, unique formula, highly pigmented

Product NEGATIVES: a few shades have been known to crease/cake, apply poorly with a brush, hard to find in some cities/countries

Have you tried these and if so, what did you think?
