IMATS 2011 Experience & Haul

As I mentioned in my last post, I spent the entire day last Saturday at IMATS in Toronto. It was my first year attending, and I feel as though I was able to experience all that the show had to offer. Thank you to Makeup Art Magazine for hosting a great event.

As soon as I got there, I ran into CityAndMakeup, Jess from Beautizine, Stacey Brennan and MissCaseyB and quickly introduced myself. Truly wonderful ladies and so easy-going!!!

I then did a bit of shopping before heading upstairs to the bloggers lounge where Royal & Langnickel treated us to manicures, a meet and greet with Kevin James Bennett, product demonstrations, food/beverages and a goodie bag.

Of course, more shopping followed. The NYX and Makeup Forever booths had easily the longest lines and the most people waiting to pick up and pay for their products. I was excited to see new brands there that I had never heard of (expect reviews soon) like bdellium and la splash.

My Haul: NYX, OCC, MUFE, LA Splash, Model in a Bottle & Headbands
More Haulage: Royal & Langnickel Brushes
I’ve been using this brush to apply my foundation every day since I purchased it and I LOVE it!

At 1pm, Senior MAC Makeup Artist, Melissa Gibson presented a seminar on the main stage: ERAS INTERPRETTED where she tackled Flapper makeup of the 1920’s and her take on Twiggy’s iconic look from the 1960’s.

Almost forgot to mention that Eve Pearl, Elessa (Pursebuzz) and Koren (EnKore) were also in town 😉

The only picture I took of myself and of course it turns out blurry….oh well, until next year!
