L’Oreal Colour Riche Eye Shadow Quads: Photos & Swatches

The new L’Oreal Colour Riche Eye Shadow Quads are now available in stores. I was able to preview these quads back in November 2012 at the L’Oreal Holiday Party and have been waiting to pick up a few more ever since. There are a total of 20 different palettes with a great range of colours to select from. Whether you are looking for smokey, neutral, essential or bold shades, there is something for everyone’s taste.

and Good Luck Charm (103)
From L to R: Sultry Seductress (Smokey Eyes), Good Luck Charm (New Essentials)
and Cookies & Cream (New Essentials)

These shadows come packaged in a lightweight sleek palette. I am still undecided on whether I like this packaging. I love its design but a few of my shadows have already started to come unglued inside the palette. Despite this however, the quality of the shadows themselves have been wonderful! They are very smooth and creamy in texture with incredible pigmentation. There was a bit of fallout with these however this occurred only with a few select shades which appear to be much softer in consistency.

Each quad contains four expertly coordinated eye shadows, all varying in texture. I have been especially loving the satin and matte shades. On the back of each palette are instructions on where to apply each shade, with each of the four shades used for either colouring, brightening, contouring or defining the eyes.

Here are swatches of the 3 palettes I have:
Sultry Seductress – taupe, champagne, deep violet, shimmery charcoal
Good Luck Charm – pink, ivory, light brown, matte dark brown
Cookies & Cream – satin grey, frosty white, deep grey, sparkly black
