Gloss in Love comes in 12 shades, each infused with intense pigments and light-trapping mother of pearl, making them literally dazzle on the lips. The shades range from sheer to medium coverage and range from fuchsia and pink to red and orange. Colours can be worn alone  or combined together to form countless glistening looks. Both of the shades I have (Just Strass & Under the Spotlight) are simply beautiful and impeccably shiny. The texture is comfortable and the formula moisturizes lips for up to 6 hours! They also have a subtle scent of mouth-watering vanilla and fresh fruit cocktail, which is intoxicating.

As for the packaging, the cap releases with the simple press of a button, which I’ve never seen before with any other brand. The bottle itself is see-through revealing the shade and is imprinted with the words “Gloss in Love”. I love the unprecedented double-sided expert applicator! It resembles a doe-foot applicator but tapers to a fine tip and has a more unique shape (see photos). The curved side of the applicator hugs the lower lip’s surface, applying texture, shape and shine. When turned over, the high-precision tip enhances application to the upper lip contour with the dexterity of a makeup artist.

Ever since its 2012 launch, Lancome’s Rouge in Love has become a cult lipstick. The Rouge in Love lipstick line welcomes 9 new shades this Summer (to their existing 33 shade selection), including vibrant reds, oranges and pinks. The one lipstick I have from this collection is ultra pigmented and very moisturizing for a matte finish. I was pleasantly surprised at how well I suited me given the intensity of the shade.
