Almay Playfully Pretty Tea Party & Spring/Summer 2013 Product Launch

I recently attended the Playfully Pretty Tea Party hosted by Almay Canada in Toronto, where the brand showcased some of their new products for Spring/Summer 2013. The venue was decorated so beautifully. Almay’s PR team really went all out! There were vintage tea cups everywhere, desserts and of course lots of makeup to play with! It was really fun & interactive and I especially loved that there were stations set up where we could ask questions, test out and learn more about each product.

The first station I stopped at was the Almay Color + Care Liquid Lip Balm station. This new balm, being released this July 2013 combines beautiful colour, shine and moisture. There are ten shades available in the range, each infused with nourishing avocado oil and calming Vitamin E. The Color + Care balms combine the comfort and care of a balm with the color and shine of a gloss! They are gluten-free and after all-day wear, lip moisture is increased by 194%!

Next up, I headed over to the Almay Eye Makeup Removers table. This June, Almay is expanding its collection of makeup removers with the introduction of three innovative, new products that remove makeup simply and effectively with added benefits to the skin/eyes. The new Lash Care Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads, Soothing & Depuffing Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads and the Longwear & Waterproof Gentle Eye Makeup Remover are all great for sensitive skin and suitable for contact lens wearers. I’m really looking forward to testing out the Lash Care pads that promote healthy, strong lashes!

Almay is also introducing their new Smart Shade CC Cream & Smart Shade Powder Bronzer. The Complexion Corrector (CC) works to improve the clarity of your skin over time and instantly diminishes the appearance of imperfections, pores, dull skin tone, fine lines, wrinkles and discolouration! I couldn’t wait to try this, so I’ve already put it to the test. Not the least bit greasy, this CC cream leaves a velvety smooth and luminous finish on your face. It’s incredible! The Smart Shade CC will be available next month and comes in three shades ranging from light to medium.

The Powder Bronzer delivers a perfectly bronzed hue that complements any skin tone. Three shades swirl together in a mosaic pattern to create an ideal shade, while a hint of pearl brightens and enhances your overall complexion. Available June 2013, although with the Powder Blush in coral, pink & nude.
