A radiant sun-kissed complexion, ultramarine eyes, intense red lips & nails…all synonymous of nautical chic. The new Dior Transat Collection for Summer 2014 is a breathtaking palette of navy blue, red and beige. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m a sucker for anything nautical! This collection takes its inspiration from Raf Simon’s 2014 Cruise Collection, which featured 58 chic & elegant pieces including cruise wear and suits.

Diorskin Nude Tan Prime & Bronze ($42 CAD – Limited Edition)
Prime & Bronze combines a foundation primer and a gradual self-tanner in one. The multi-tasking product gives skin a glowing, radiant surface in preparation for makeup application and instantly makes skin look “warmer”, smoother and more even. With each application, the “tan” gets deeper. Daily use is recommended for a week to maintain colour.

Diorskin Nude Shimmer ($57 CAD – Permanent)
Nude Shimmer is one of my favourite Dior products of all time. The illuminating powder provides skin with a subtle combination of shimmer and pigment. It makes skin look radiant by providing the slightest bit of colour & sheen. Available in two shades (Amber & Pink) that work to highlight or contour the face. This product is not limited edition and available as part of Dior’s permanent range.
Dior’s quint eye shadow palettes (Diorskin 5 Couleurs) offer five different shadows in one convenient compact. Upon first glance, I was intimidated by Atlantique (blue/brown shades) since I’ve never been a fan of wearing blue shadow, but its combination of harmonious shades was surprisingly easy to work with! Sundeck, the more neutral palette of the two (sand/orange shades), is also quite beautiful but expect it to be more sheer in comparison.

I love the Dior Vernis nail lacquer formula. It’s long-wearing and levels out well, creating the most perfect application. The three new shades (Yacht, Captain & Sailor) in this collection are absolutely gorgeous! I’m not going to lie though, the transparent stickers each stamped with the CD logo were a fail for me. They were difficult to apply and unnecessary given that each of these shades speak volumes on their own. The colours made up for the stickers though. They truly are remarkable!

Dior Addict Lipstick ($33 CAD – Limited Edition)
Being the HUGE supporter of Dior Addict Gloss that I am, I was excited to see some new limited edition shades pop up with this collection. The gloss formula is super hydrating and offers shine without any stickiness. Offshore is a golden sand shade…very safe and neutral but Seafarer.…well…. it’s just breathtaking! The poppy-hue attracts attention and just glistens with shine! Definitely worth checking out!!
New to Dior for this collection is their Lip Maximizer in Fresh Pink. I have not tested out this particular shade but I have heard that despite being relatively sheer, it provides the lips with a healthy and natural glow. Because this is a “lip maximizer”, this product does leaves behind a bit of a tingle, but nothing uncomfortable.
