Coco Codes de Chanel Beauty Collection for Spring 2017

Spring is fast approaching and that means new launches from some of our favourite luxe brands! This month, Chanel is set to release not one, but two collections for Spring 2017 and both are absolutely breathtaking! The first one – Coco Codes, celebrates five of Chanel’s iconic shades (red, black, gold, white & beige) and invites women to experiment and invent their own beauty code.

“Red, black, gold, white, beige: these are the ‘secret codes’ of CHANEL beauty” ∼ Lucia Pica

The collection centres around its namesake, the Coco Code Exclusive Creation Blush Harmony ($70 CAD) – a limited edition masterpiece of four complimentary blush shades (2 satin + 2 matte) that when blended together (or used individually) offer countless variety and gorgeous effects on the skin. The shades, which include a peachy beige, caramel beige, honey gold and pinky red are said to be the reworkings of the “original codes”. Swirl the shades together or use them individually to highlight, contour or add an intoxicating flush to the skin!

The second cheek product released with Coco Codes is the Élégance Joues Contraste ($53 CAD) – a dusty rose, peach and beige blush with a subtle gold shimmer. Its equally beautiful yet not as daring and slightly less versatile.

The collection also includes 2 beautiful eye shadow quads in shade combinations that resemble a Fall/Autumn palette as opposed to Spring but this girl isn’t complaining since neutrals like these are my everything! The Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadows ($68 CAD) come in #274 Codes Élégants (a true gold, warm platinum, deep brown and antiqued gold) and #278 Codes Subtils (shimmering shades of powdery rosy peach, platinum-bronze taupe, warm pewter and bronzed mid-brown). The latter is limited edition.

There are also three eyeliner options in this collection. Chanel’s Stylo Yeux Waterproof ($35 CAD) in #931 Noir Pétrole & #932 Mat Taupe or the beautiful Calligraphie de Chanel Eyeliner in #65 Hyperblack.

For lips, Chanel is releasing two Rouge Allure lipsticks, two Rouge Allure Velvet lipsticks and two Rouge Coco Shines (all $43 CAD). I don’t actually have any of them to share swatches with you, nor can I comment on individual formulas, but how pretty are shades #2 & 4 below? L-R: Chanel Rouge Allure (#175 Ardente & #176 Independante) & Rouge Allure Velvet (#61 La Secrete & #62 Libre)

Rouge Coco Shine in #126 Beige Dore  & #128 Noir Moderne

Last, but certainly not least, Coco Codes offers up 3 Le Vernis Longue Tenue ($32 CAD) long-wearing nail colours lacquers in fresh renditions of the classics: #546 Rouge Red, #548 Blanc White and #556 Beige Beige along with a nail colour boosting top coat ($32 CAD) Le Top Coat in Black Metamorphosis – that adds a sheer  black nail gloss effect and depth when painted over your favourite shade.
