What Makes You Blush? Introducing Make Up For Ever (MUFE) HD Cream Blush (+ Blush Techniques for Your Face Shape)

Make Up For Ever recently hosted professional makeup artists and local media to an exclusive first look at their latest innovation, the new HD Cream Blush. The event, which took place in Toronto, educated us about the new formula which melts into the skin for a natural flush of colour. The new blush’s second-skin formula has been tested in front of HD cameras and blends seamlessly, making it undetectable both on screen and to the naked eye. I seem to have taken a liking to cream blushes in general this past year but I LOVE how lightweight this one is. Make Up For Ever got the formula right on this one beauties!

Application

You can apply the new HD Cream Blush using your fingertips, a sponge, or a brush depending on the desired result. I personally use Make Up For Ever’s Precision Blush Brush #150. It is recommended that a delicate sweeping motion is used to blend the product into the skin. For professional blush application techniques, including the best way to apply this product based on your face shape, check out the chart below. For a classic application, professional artists at the event recommended using a full, rounded blush brush (like the one mentioned above) to apply the blush to the apples of the cheeks in a figure “8” motion. Sweep the product from the top of the apple downwards then up and back towards the top of the ear”This method would flatter any face shape.

Shades:

The long-lasting HD formula blends easily and feels weightless on the skin. Very impressive for a product that packs so much pigment! Each shade can be intensified if desired for a more dramatic look. There are 16 shades available that suit every skin tone; Hues range from light to medium and from tan to deep with both cool and warm undertones represented. There is literally something for everyone in the range. Shade #410 (pictured below) is said to be a universally flattering coral shade that anyone can wear.
