As Spring approaches, “Dior is throwing open the gates to its kingdom”. Their latest makeup collection dubbed Kingdom of Colours includes limited edition shades of iconic Dior products, some exciting new launches (i.e. Cheek & Lip Glow, Blossoming Top Coat) and a coveted palette for the face, eyes and lips. The four palettes included in this collection all have the Christian Dior crest embossed on the inside and the packaging is black as opposed to Dior’s regular navy blue.

Collection Details:

Rouge Dior Baume ($37 CAD) combines couture lip colour and a nourishing lip treatment. Available in 2 limited edition shades: #628 Palais (shown below) & #668 Cotillion (poppy). 

Five retractable Diorshow Khôl pencils ($32 CAD) join Dior’s permanent lineup. Each pencil has an oversized tip and can be used all over the eye lid as a base or just to line the eyes. Available in the following shades: 039 Pearly Silver (shown below), 079 Smoky Grey, 099 Smoky Black (shown below), 289 Smoky Blue & 789 Smoky Brown.

A backstage favourite, this universal tint provides a sheer, natural-looking flush of pink to the cheeks and lips. Dior’s Cheek & Lip Glow ($39 CAD) features Fresh Color Reveal™ technology which instantly reacts to the moisture in your skin/on your lips to produce the nicest rosy glow. Available in #001 Instant Blushing Rosy Tint.

If I could have only one lip gloss, I would choose the Dior Addict ($31 CAD) formula hands down! Even though I prefer doe-foot applicators to lip brushes, there is something truly special about these glosses. I am absolutely obsessed with them! The Spring collection offers 2 new limited edition shades, both accentuated with a subtle shimmer. My favourite of the two is “#154 Fastes” – a beautiful peachy pink that looks great paired with a traditional smokey eye. Also available is #624 Mylord.

Diorblush Kingdom of Colours Blush in “Peach Splendor” ($46 CAD) is a peachy-pink blush with a tinge of gold shimmer. It’s a lovely shade that would look great on most complexions. Use it to add a flash of colour to the face or to sculpt the cheekbones.  

Dior Vernis nail polishes ($28 CAD) offer high shine & superior wear. The 2 contrasting colours in this collection are perfect for Spring & Summer. I love pairing neutral shades of polish on my nails with brighter shades on my toes so “Lady” – a delicate mauve & “Glory” – a bright orchid pink both really appeal to me…especially if worn together. Also launching with the Spring collection is Dior’s Eclosion Blossoming Top Coat ($29 CAD)…..a gorgeous explosion of confetti that perfects any creamy shade without looking childlike. This fun top coat is a combination of yellow, green and white micro-confetti in a transparent base. It’s the perfect accessory to your favourite polish!
