Dior’s Glowing Gardens Collection is the perfect Spring time treat! Inspired by the gardens of Christian Dior’s childhood home in Granville, France, the collection just exudes freshness. Dior products in general are always so exquisite, but many of the ones in this particular collection are extra special because of their detailed and intricate floral designs. I don’t have the entire collection to share with you but I included photos and details below of all the products available to give you a fulsome look at this collections’ beauty!
Every season Dior features one or more of their infamous 5-Couleurs Eyeshadow palettes ($63 USD/$70 CAD) in their new collection. The two palettes included in the Spring 2016 launch are Rose Garden #451 (see below for swatches) and Blue Garden #031. Four of the five shadows in each palette feature a gorgeous floral imprint and shades are coordinated to work well together. As with many of the Dior shadows that I own, the Rose Garden eye shadows performed well and were also very easy to blend. The brighter shades (yellow and green) were a little outside my comfort zone but their texture, finish and pigmentation did not disappoint. Rose Garden includes a soft pink, green, lilac, vibrant yellow and taupe shadow while Blue Garden features a mix of sky blue, blue iris, peach, medium brown and grey.
With only 3 months into the New Year, 2016 is already gearing up to be the year of the highlight and contour. So many brands are releasing illuminating and bronzing powders! The Spring 2016 Diorskin Nude Air Glowing Gardens Illuminating Powders ($58 USD/$64 USD), come in Glowing Pink and Glowing Nude. The compacts are equipped with a mirror and a small kabuki brush. As a HUGE fan of highlighting powders, I was pretty happy to see this product included in the collection. It is truly stunning! Honestly, “beautiful” doesn’t quite do it justice….the products’ finely milled powder boasts a lightweight formulation of vitamins and minerals to perfect the skin too!
The Dior Addict Lip Glow Liner ($32 USD/$36 CAD) pictured above and swatched below is a universal shade meant to boost the natural colour and contour of your lips. Formulated with Volume Booster technology, this innovative liner helps smooth, define and fill in the lip contour. I really like this product because it gives my lips a natural looking, subtle, healthy-looking pigment. If you’ve ever tried Nail Glow or Lip Glow, also by Dior, then you’ll know exactly what I’m referring to.
Also part of the Dior Spring 2016 Glowing Gardens Collection are the Diorshow Colour & Contour Eyeshadow & Liner Duos (pictured below), the new Diorblush Glowing Gardens Vibrant Colour Powder Blush in Floral Pink (not pictured) and two new shades of the Dior Le Vernis in Bluette and Lilac ($27USD/$31CAD). Bluette is a stunning baby blue and Lilac (pictured below) is a pretty pink with a hint of purple.
