World Mastercard Fashion Week’s 2015 Fall/Winter season wrapped up tonight in Toronto and earlier this week I headed backstage to check out all of the latest beauty and nail trends. One of my favourite looks of the entire week was created for Canadian designer Hayley Elsaesser‘s show which was a fun twist on Kill Bill & 70’s disco.
Essie Canada lead nail artist Rita Remark created fun and playful camouflage and animal prints on the nails using Essie’s Naughty Nautical, Meet Me At Sunset, Butler Please & Mod Square. The nail designs paired perfectly with Elsaesser’s collection of graphic prints and vibrant colours.
For makeup, Maybelline’s lead artist Grace Lee created a beauty look with pops of colour under the eyes and a reverse ombre lip. It was quirky and bold but totally wearable! Grace and her team used the following products to transform the models before the show:
Dream Wonder Liquid Touch Foundation
Face Studio Master Prime Blur + Illuminate
Eye Studio Color Molton Eye Shadows in Plum Fusion & Taupe Crazy
Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24H Cream Gel Shadow in Tenacious Teal
Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm in Oh Orange! or Minty Sheer
Eye Studio Brow Drama
Lash Sensational Mascara
To create the two-toned ombré lip (my favourite part of the look!), apply Color Sensational Rebel Bloom lipstick in Petal Pink to the lips then add Color Sensational Vivids lipstick in Vivid Rose to just the centre of the lips creating a pink gradient effect.
