Were you born to style? Are you the next up and coming hairstylist? If you answered yes, then discover your passion and your potential and enter the Aveda Institute Hair Scholarship contest! This exciting opportunity gives aspiring stylists the chance to win one of four scholarships. Winners will each receive full tuition at one of Aveda’s Hair Schools in Canada located in Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary and Vancouver.

STEP 1: MAKE A VIDEO
Create a video showing why you are BORN TO STYLE and why you’ve got the talent, passion and determination it takes to develop your hairstyling skills with the Aveda Institute. The deadline to submit video entries is March 1, 2013.
STEP 2: UPLOAD/SHARE YOUR VIDEO
Upload your video on the Born to Style website to share your entry with the world! Share your Aveda Institute entry page link with your family, friends, fans & followers and get them to vote for your video!

STEP 3: HAIR SHOWDOWN
A panel of hair and beauty professionals along with Aveda faculty will hand pick aspiring stylists in each city to advance to the final round – a live head-to-head competition and runway show! A panel of experts then pick a winner in each city, who will be awarded a full scholarship to the Aveda Institute hair school!

Videos will be judged on boldness, clarity of artistic vision, originality, creativity, demonstration of your fashion forwardness, understanding of the Aveda mission, and overall impression. Need some inspiration? Browse through last year’s entries here.
