Back in March, I posted about Google Reader being discontinued on July 1st and provided you all with some alternatives to ensure you keep up to date with your favourite blogs (hopefully I’m one of them 🙂 Well, the time has finally come and this weekend, Google Reader will disappear. If you currently follow MomsMakeupStash through GFC/Google Reader, and want to make sure that you don’t miss out on any future posts, you will have to subscribe to another reader THIS WEEKEND!

Many of you have already imported your RSS/blog feeds to another reader but for those of you who haven’t yet here is everything you need to know on how you too can make the easy transition. As I mentioned before, there are free services out there that compare to Google Reader and the migration is super simple. The two I’d recommend are BlogLovin’ or Feedly. Both of these options import all of your reading lists automatically so you can rest assured that you won’t be losing contact with any of your favourite sites.  The main reason I blog, is because of all of you so it would really mean the world to me if you subscribed some other way to make sure we all continue to stay connected. Blogging has been so therapeutic for me. I would recommend blogging to anyone who could do with having a place where they can express their thoughts and feelings. Of course, you will need to find suitable and inexpensive web hosting first. Reading iPage reviews might be helpful for you.

BlogLovin’
I’ve been using BlogLovin for awhile now and find it to be user-friendly and effective. You can explore/discover new blogs but I love that you can categorize your blog roll which makes reading through hundreds of posts on a daily basis much easier. For example, I have categories set up for Fashion, Nails, Local Beauties etc. To transfer all your information onto BlogLovin, just create an account and use their 1-Click Import Function to import all of the blogs you read from Google Reader. 

Feedly
This is another option which is especially great for mobile users. There are a number of different options available like searching by URL. Feedly also has a convenient 1-Click Import Function so make sure to transfer all your data before July 1st.
