Every Fall, OPI releases a nail lacquer collection inspired by a country or destination. I still remember the very first OPI polish that I ever purchased…it was from the France Collection in 2008. I loved “You Don’t Know Jacques”, a muddy brown, so much that I recently tracked down a second bottle. This August, OPI travels to San Francisco where 15 polishes varying in texture & tone accessorize Fall’s hottest looks. Street chic style and West Coast flair inspired the collection’s new Fall/Winter shades. The palette features 12 colours ranging from sky and sea-coloured hues of blues and gray to reds, burgundies and browns, all inspired by some of the city’s most iconic elements – Chinatown, the Golden Gate bridge and the Embarcadero. There are also 3 new Liquid Sand lacquers in earthy hues of taupe, blue and gray. (Liquid Sand lacquers dry to a textured, matte finish and are infused with reflective sparkle – these should be worn without a top coat).
“To me, the women of San Francisco and the city itself really epitomize today’s multifaceted beauty consumer,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “San Francisco offers a European flair with distinct West Coast attributes. These elements inspired a collection of urban chic nail lacquer shades, thanks to the sophisticated combination of high fashion and eclectic street style.
