Recently I posted on OPI‘s latest collaboration with SKYFALL, the James Bond movie out in theatres soon. For more on that collection, see my post on it here.
One of the most talked out releases with SKYFALL has been THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN, a gold leaf topcoat made with real flecks of 18K gold!! Leave it to OPI to be so innovative! This gorgeous top coat comes in a matching gold special edition bottle/box and retails around $38US a bottle. The steep price tag as compared to OPI’s standard range which sell for approximately $9.50 a bottle is mainly due to the it’s special luxe ingredients. The top coat is meant to be used sparingly over other shades as a final layer.
The polish itself has a clear base and a beautiful consistency. It is a workable formula unlike some of the “too thick” or “too thin” glitter formulas I’ve tried. The flecks of gold come across as very delicate to the naked eye and for this reason I’d recommend using 2 coats. A remarkable product!
