It’s not often I get to attend a fashion launch/preview. Working two jobs and raising two small kids doesn’t always allow me the time to attend all of the great events I am invited to as a beauty & lifestyle blogger. I usually try to keep up with everything via press images and media kits. I did however recently get a sneak peek at the Guess Holiday 2013 Collection and was thrilled to see how wearable and affordable everything was. The collection includes a gorgeous array of pieces appropriate for “work and play” (i.e. jackets, dresses, sweaters & skirts) as well as accessories, handbags and shoes. Some of the most noteworthy pieces can be seen in the photos below. The Guess Holiday 2013 Collection hits stores in October.

If you follow along on Instagram, you may have already seen some of these photos. Everything from the collection is right on trend… with pieces that include leather, mixed textures, military mixed with denim, booties, vintage jewelry, fringe and zipper & hardware detailing.
Although the gorgeous sequin jacket (centred in collage above) and the exquisite jewelled mini skirt (top right panel) are my favourite pieces from the collection, I was really impressed with the new booties and shoes coming soon. You can never go wrong with a black suede boot with gold hardware! I absolutely love all three of the booties above, especially the first two from the left.

And what’s a Guess preview without new, stunning watches? Rose gold continues to be big for the Holiday season and as we head into the winter. I really hope rose gold sticks around for awhile. The mixed metal trend is also big and very apparent with this collection. But honestly, there is a watch to suit every taste.
