I recently mentioned that OPI will be launching 6 new limited edition nail lacquers and a new Liquid Sand shade inspired by the Disney movie OZ the Great & Powerful! 

The movie starring James Franco and Michelle Williams, is scheduled to hit theatres on March 8, 2013 and is the prequel to the legendary Wizard of Oz. This collection will be available in professional salons and retail stores that sell OPI in early March. 

From glittery shades packed with white, gold and silvery iridescent confetti to soft neutrals in white, beige and pink, these lacquers capture the “whimsy” seen in the film. These soft creme and warm glitter shades are ideal for layering.

I had the opportunity to preview 3 of the polishes from this collection and they are all gorgeous. Each of them looks sophisticated and feminine. These are not “in your face” colours that demand attention, but rather subtle examples that sometimes simplicity is best.
